Ahoj! My name is David Ruzicka. I am a czech camera and steadicam operator based in Prague, Czech Republic and Budapest, Hungary.

At the begining of my carrier I started shooting countle of clips and student films with a steadicam flyer. After 4 years of self learning and improvement I decided to level up even more and start building my carrier on an even higher level and decided to learn from Mr. Jaromír Šedina. He is best known as an A cam and steadicam operator of Casino Royal and Hellboy etc. His knowlegde and commitment for the film industry was something that made me believe that I chose the right person to learn from.

Soon I started to be involved in bigger projects. In the begining as a steadicam operator and later as a camera operator as well. At this point of my life I was sure that this is not just a job for me but it is my passion that I am committed to.

Being a maximalist always made me go for achivements and challanges. Till nowadays this keeps me on track and motivates me everyday to be better and better.

I am grateful that I have worked with the greaters DOP’s such as Linus Sangren (LaLaLand), Lance Acord (Lost in Translation), David Luther (Das Boot), Larry Smith (Eyes Wide Shut), Chris Seager (Game of Thrones), Milan Chadima (Hostel) and many other amazing and passionate people.

I am more thank thankful that I could participate in great productions such as the tv series Knightfall or 12 monkeys as well as the big Amazon series Carnival Row or Netflix original series The Letter for The King.
